We are excited to upgrade you from Connect to the essensys Platform! Below are answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, please contact your Customer Success Engagement Manager.   

What is the new essensys Platform?

The essensys Platform is an upgrade from Connect. It has been built on top of the existing infrastructure and provides the same management tools delivered over our private global network.   

The features available in Connect have been enhanced and expanded upon in the essensys Platform to provide a central point of control through our unique network management capabilities.   

The essensys Platform removes the operational complexity associated with network management and delivers the foundation to create seamless in-building experiences, portfolio-wide. 

What is better/different about the essensys Platform?

The scope of the essensys Platform is far wider than that of Connect, meaning the platform will be able to grow and develop along with the needs of you and your clients. On top of this, the new platform will also feature:  

  • An improved user interface
  • An improved digital twin with a much clearer structure for managing space, floors and associated building infrastructure
  • “Anywhere” occupier accounts – if an occupier requests a service at multiple sites, then only one account will need to be created and maintained 

To retain operational efficiency, we will be hiding any features that you do not currently use, however once you have completed onboarding and are familiar with the essensys Platform you can contact your Customer Success Engagement Manager to discuss turning on these optional extra modules. 

Why should I upgrade to the essensys Platform?

The evolved proposition will provide an improved user interface, the ability to reduce operational complexity, whilst continuing to automate provisioning of digital services, and access to data and insights to better understand customer consumption of spaces and services.   

The essensys Platform has been designed with you in mind, utilising the latest cloud-native technologies. That means we continue to develop the platform to adapt to changing market dynamics, delivering what you need now and for the future. Our platform has been built with the latest cloud-native technologies, meaning that we can develop, build and change it quickly to meet our customer’s requests and deliver the best possible technology solution to meet their needs. 

We will be working with you to implement your upgrade and will ensure operational continuity via training and support.

When will the upgrade happen?

We are dedicated to delivering exceptional user-end experiences and can’t wait for you to unlock all the new and enhanced features. We will ensure you are upgraded from Connect to the essensys Platform over the summer of 2022.

What is the process to upgrade to the essensys Platform? 

Our biggest priority is to be able to guarantee operational continuity throughout the upgrade, so we’ve kept the process short and simple: 

  1. Your Customer Success Engagement Manager will be in touch to schedule your upgrade and answer any questions you may have
  2. To make sure you’re comfortable using the essensys Platform from day one, we’ll be running a comprehensive training session with your team
  3. To ensure no downtime, you will be moved across to the essensys Platform after close of business the day before your scheduled upgrade date
  4. Day one on the essensys Platform your Customer Success Engagement Manager will be on hand to assist with any questions  
Does a customer have to move?

We are committed to providing a best-in-class user experience and the upgrade to the essensys Platform is paramount to achieving this. All Connect users will be upgraded to the new platform by the end of summer 2022.

Does the upgrade impact pricing for our customers?

No – this is an upgrade that will provide you with the new and enhanced features of the essensys Platform but will not impact your pricing. 

Can I combine Connect and the essensys Platform?

The essensys Platform is an upgrade from Connect so there is no need to use both platforms. With an improved user interface and an increased ability to be developed upon, the essensys Platform will grow and evolve along with the needs of you and your clients. 

What is a roadmap?

A roadmap is the planned software development order. It is the order of features which will be developed to take us towards the vision of the product. If you are interested in our product roadmap or expanding your feature set within the essensys Platform, please contact your Customer Success Engagement Manager.  

Does this mean my login’s will need to be reset?

There will be a new URL to access the platform and we’ll need to reset your login credentials, however there will be no changes to your Wi-Fi or voicemail credentials.   

Will my reporting data remain intact?

Yes – all reporting data will remain consistent.

Will I need to raise new cases for outstanding issues?

No – all outstanding cases will remain live. Any new cases will be raised in the same way and we will continue to offer live chat support.

What does this mean for an Operate Customer?  

Operate will continue to exist in its current form. If you have previously been an Operate and Connect customer your Operate experience will remain unchanged. Operate will interact with the essensys Platform in the same way it currently does with Connect.
